Working when you're not in the right headspace
We all have those when our head isn't really where we need it to be for work. Whether that's a lack of sleep, something going on in our personal lives, a general feeling of overwhelm, or just a feeling of "meh", working in that headspace can feel next to impossible.

In my experience, the best thing to do on those days is acknowledge the feeling and create an environment where you feel supported. Giving yourself the space to work out what's wrong is oftentimes half the battle.
Here are some of my tips to help you get through those days:
Be kind to yourself. You can't bring your A game every day. Try and remember that your worth isn't tied to your daily productivity
Make a list of everything you have to do today and make a point of crossing it off when complete. Do you have to complete everything today?
Celebrate even the smallest achievement. Give yourself a pat on the back each time you cross something off your list
If feasible, create a safe workspace. You could light a candle, change into your comfiest tracksuit bottoms or put on your favourite playlist.
Schedule in breaks. Think to yourself "I'll work on this for 20mins, and then take a break, and then do another 20mins". Giving yourself that breathing space helps you stay focused, without the pressure of doing everything all at once
Make space for mindfulness, whether that's a quiet five minute meditation, a stretch, a short walk or some yoga. I love Yoga with Adriene.
Stay hydrated... my go to is gallons of peppermint tea
Reach out to your work bestie or someone in your team and let them know you might need a little more support today
Know that this moment will pass
